People tend to hype up technology, making it sound much more complicated than it actually is. As a result, new users often shy away from complicated sounding programs which could save them hours of labor. I admit that I am guilty of this.
However, four days into using a CRM for the first time, I now see that that fear was over nothing. CRMs are there to help you, and given a little time, are not that difficult to understand. Yes, there is a small amount of thinking involved, but technology can not give you everything (yet). CRMs do their best to aide you by providing a structural hierarchy that allows for easy access to any record needed.
Time is saved by having everything you could possibly need in one, easy to find location. Emails are arranged in an inbox, as well as in the contact history to enhance clear communication. Searches can find accounts, or specific contacts by name.
Overall, CRMs are not as complex as one might think. Four days in, and I can run functions within the program that I did not think I would ever be doing. I am sure that with time will come greater understanding, but for now, basic understanding and a little bit of exploration of the program will keep pushing it forward.
